Sponsored by OCL, Community Advocates (CAs) serve as ambassadors of the Office of Off Campus Life. This student organization strives to connect UF students to the greater Gainesville community through dissemination of knowledge about cultural, social and municipal events. CAs also strive to educate students on their rights and responsibilities as off-campus students.
Community Advocates strives to help make your off-campus experience the best possible. Come be part of this great student organization to meet people, learn new things about the Gainesville and UF community and have fun! For more info, join Community Advocates’ Facebook group: Community Advocates.
Past CA events include:
Roommate Mixer: A social event where you can meet potential roommates and learn useful communication strategies.
Puppy Palooza: Learn how to adopt and provide proper care for local pets and volunteer opportunities at local animal shelters from shelter employees and local veterinarians. Get to meet and cuddle some puppies, too!
Want to be a CA? Apply here! We are currently taking applications for general board members. Questions? Contact the president Becca Herrin at communityadvocatesatuf@gmail.com.
